Geotechnical Monitoring

Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring Services

Ground investigation is generally part of pre-contract agreement. Having information about geophysical properties prior to construction or mining can provide valuable data to planners from which informed decisions can be made.

AES provides a range of geotechnical monitoring solutions that will detect:

  • Lateral movements and deformations in soil, rock and retaining structures
  • Detection and monitoring of differential movement and rotation in structures
  • Measurement of pore water pressure (PWP) & water levels
  • Measurement and locate settlement, heave, displacement and deformation in soil and rock
  • Measuring displacement of adjacent surfaces
  • Monitor settlement or heave in soils and other structures such as embankments, earth and rockfill dams
  • Measuring loads in rock bolts, cable anchors and tendons, and loads in pull-out tests on trial anchors
  • Measuring strain in steel and concrete
  • Measuring temperature in concrete, soil and rock

All our systems will provide:

  • Read & download data from instruments
  • Automatic data acquisition
  • Cable free solutions (optional)
  • Direct connection to sensors
  • Data visualisation
